Reaching Sirmione without a car
Sirmione has no train station: you arrive via Desenzano del Garda or Peschiera del Garda, on the Milan–Venice line, then bus or shuttle. The nearest airport is Verona. In summer you can also come by boat, which docks inside the old town.

From the airports
From every airport you reach Desenzano or Peschiera by train, then bus or shuttle to Sirmione. Times and prices are approximate: check the live schedules on the operators’ sites (below).

By train and the last mile
The nearest stations are Desenzano del Garda–Sirmione and Peschiera del Garda, on the Milan–Venice line (there is no station in Sirmione). From there continue by bus (Arriva Brescia–Verona line) or taxi to Colombare; then the shuttle or on foot across the castle bridge. Outside the shuttle season, the LN026 line runs all the way into the centre.
By boat and over the water
In season the Navigazione Laghi boat connects Sirmione with Desenzano, Peschiera and the other lake towns. The pier is inside the old town (Piazza Carducci): arriving by water, you skip the queue at the bridge. You can also come by private boat, canoe or SUP, but watch the traffic of boats and ferries leaving the harbour.
